August will be filled with many sweet developments, and it certainly will be
a departure from the months that spanned January to June. You have already
covered the hard part of the year - now you have mostly blue skies ahead.
First, your financial outlook is clearly getting better by the minute. Mars
has been the culprit here, for Mars was forcing your expenses up at a rapid
rate. This active planet has been in Libra a very long time, from holiday time,
December 7 to July 25, last month. A financial house of the horoscope is never
an easy place to host Mars, no matter what your rising sign happens to be.
As an aside, a note of explanation: We all have two charts, a custom natal
chart, and a solar chart, where the sign of the Sun is kept at the horizon line
and all house cusps are at zero degrees. To only read one chart and not the
other will never give you the entire picture.
All Pisces began seeing their finances gyrating starting in December of last
year, but in ways you may not have expected. Mars in your eighth house of other
people's money, including credit, loans, insurance payouts, taxes, company
benefits, divorce or court settlements, child support, bankruptcy (yours or your
clients' who now can't pay you), student financial aid or scholarships, and also
money you give or loan a close family member or friend that you love, and want
to help.
One of these areas has been a pressured focus over the nearly eight months,
but it was not necessarily your fault. You may have been laid off in a merger.
Or, you may have become ill and not able to work for pay for many weeks. If you
are self-employed, a damaged product came down the assembly line that you were
not able to sell, despite the heavy costs you poured into its development. If
you are an entertainer, you may have had to cancel a concert, and refund all the
tickets. There are always so many reasons we all can run into unexpected
financial difficulties.
Now that pressure will fall away as Mars has departed, and more money will
come in. You may be able to pay off those owed, pay down debt, or deal with the
unfairness of a financial situation, cut your losses, and move on. You will have
to watch what happens at the full moon lunar eclipse October 8, for that eclipse
will again bring decisions about money, but more about money you earn, not the
"other people's money" that I had listed here, above. The October 8 eclipse may
change the way you make your income - a new source may show up immediately or
within six months of the eclipse. Change is necessary, and this October 8
eclipse will relate directly to news and events that occurred near the monster
eclipse April 15. If that was a terrible time for you, the October 8 eclipse may
bring a solution. As you see, you are moving toward progress.
Mars is now in Scorpio, an infinitely better place for you to host Mars, for
Scorpio is a water sign like yours, and best of all, it is touring your
mind-expanding ninth house, which indicates that long distance or international
travel may be on your agenda. You may not know this yet. If you say you cannot
leave town due to a heavy work load (and you will be busy - more about that
later), foreign people may come to visit you. You may have already found this to
be true, as Mars entered Scorpio on July 25 and will remain in Scorpio until
September 13.
There are several ways the ancient astrologers felt a person could grow
intellectually as a result of Mars in your ninth house. Travel and by forming
international relationships is one way to grow, as is enrolling in the
university for an impressive degree. Legal matters are always instructive. Most
people associate law with going to court, but you can consult with a lawyer to
file a trademark or patent, for example, or to help you write a fair contract.
Publishing and broadcasting come under this area too, because it is where a
reporter or editor will do much research to write a piece, and in so doing, gain
a great deal of knowledge. Spirituality, prayer, investigation into philosophy,
and religion (the dogma, not the actual faith) also form this area of the ninth
house, so you may decide to take a weekend retreat. That is a great idea.
Watch August 15, when powerhouse Pluto will reach out from his perch in your
house of friendship and hopes and wishes to Mars in the most positive way - a
successful friend or one from a pedigree family may be outstandingly helpful to
one of the areas I mentioned on or near this day. Friday, August 15, rates four
stars. Pluto rules Scorpio, and Mars does too, giving a kind of double dip of
luck, and giving you a competitive edge to your efforts to you on this day, or
the day that comes before, August 14.
Keep in mind that sometimes Mars can cause tension, say, if your editor
changes your deadline and needs your work earlier. Saturn is in this house too,
so no doubt you will have to work hard on all publishing or broadcasting
projects. Your work seems to have worldwide potential, and in the end, you will
have much to show for your efforts. If you are a lawyer, you may have the case
of your life, where you will have to weigh your options of how to present it.
It is fortunate that both Saturn and Mars will be in this house together -
Mars will make you want to make decisions and actions quickly, but Saturn will
hold you back and ask you to reflect on what you are doing, and to check the
accuracy of all facts, on any of the fronts you may be focusing on my list. This
sounds like a winning combination. Both Mars and Saturn will be in highly
supportive Scorpio, so no reason to be concerned. Both of these planets will be
conjoin on August 25, so you may have a dilemma to solve. Pisces born near March
7-8 will feel this aspect and get even more benefit from other Pisces readers.
Now let's turn to your work and health, not only for August (even though it
will be extra special in August), but also through 2014 and first half of 2015.
Last month, good fortune Jupiter had just moved into your sixth house of work
assignments. This suggests you will have outstanding projects to work on, and
possibly you may be sent to very chic, sumptuous settings. What you will be
doing will be very different than before, and it appears you will be interacting
much more often with luxury or expensive designer brands. Leo rules these royal
areas of life, so it seems your environment in doing your job could not be
better. You also will be able to find superb recruits if you hire, not only in
August, but all year. August is special because on July 26, you had the very
finest new moon of the year, and it changed the energy from the new moon that
occurred last year in Leo to one much, much more impressive.
Your health also comes under the sixth house, and as we all learn in life,
good health is to be treasured. Jupiter is considered the great healer, and even
the planet of miracles, so this will be a superb month to focus on your
wellbeing too, in the sense of mind-body and spirit. Whether you feel robust and
in top health, or you have been struggling with a chronic condition, in the
weeks and months to come, you will have every reason to believe you will improve
substantially. Jupiter in Leo will certainly have you interacting with several
distinguished, accomplished doctors, even if you don't have the best insurance.
Sometimes, when you knock on the doors of enough top-level doctors, you will
hear, "We are booked." Or, "We don't take health insurance anymore." One
distinguished physician will likely see you. This house also rules doing in
vitro for infertility. Keep the faith and be optimistic, dear Pisces.
If you want to lose weight, you must begin this month, ideally in the first
half. I have found that Jupiter in this house is the best place for you to have
Jupiter so that this planet can help you slim down and learn to keep the weight
off by eating foods so delicious and nutritious that you would not want to go
back to old ways. Some students of astrology may be scratching their heads, but
I test every theory thoroughly. I know that Jupiter often expands all it
touches, including people who have Jupiter on their Sun (like Leo will have this
year - yes, Leo will have to watch their portion sizes). However, Jupiter in the
sixth house can slim you down if Jupiter brings enthusiasm (its specialty) for
sensible eating, fresh air, and exercise - do nothing too gung ho if you are out
of shape.
The full moon on August 10, influential for plus four days, will be in
Aquarius, 18 degrees. It may bring you final medical test results and a
diagnosis on any concern you may have had, or have you interacting with medical
personnel in a hospital, perhaps for a procedure, screening, or test, or to help
support a friend or relative who will have to go in. It's also possible a
mystery will be revealed, as the twelfth house where this full moon will
illuminate rules secrets, both yours and that of others. Uranus will be
beautifully oriented to the full moon, so you may be surprised by some of the
findings, in the happiest sense (unless you have something in your chart I
cannot see). You will start to feel the positive nature of this full moon
earlier, by Friday, August 8, another dazzler of a day. If you do have to see
your doctor or call in on that day, you should be smiling, unexpectedly so!
At work and concerning your health, your glittering star power will keep on
rolling. Over the weekend of August 16, 17, and on Monday August 18, Venus will
conjoin Jupiter, certainly an aspect rated five stars. Again, both these highly
benefic planets will meet in your house of health and work. This will be a
centerpiece aspect too this month, as Venus brings not only happiness but also
profit, and Jupiter does too. That elegant star couple will meet in Leo or the
first time in twelve years, and that is why they are bringing sparkle to your
health and work sector.
I have a feeling you will be invited to a magical party on August 23, 24, or
25, or that you may throw a fete (either way, a great idea). Or, you may get a
raise or special fee, TOO, for the sixth house rules projects and appearances.
You seem to certainly have the Midas touch, as that is what these two tend to do
when they team up. Venus is now in your workaday sector, and Uranus is in your
salary and income sector, so you truly should feel luckier than a Leprechaun to
be so in demand! (Remember, this is not about gambling or winning the lotto, but
by working for your money. Many would love to trade places with you.) Health
news should be positive too - perhaps your health insurance will decide to cover
much of your outgo.
The tone of the month will switch to romance with your one-and-only committed
partner on the new moon, August 25, in Virgo, 2 degrees. This moon is more about
attached Pisces than those entirely single and not dating. This crazy-in-love
new moon seems to draw you and your romantic one-and-only exceptionally close,
with very tender feelings at play interacting between you. You will be ready to
advance your relationship to a place of great closeness, and something that
occurred earlier in the month, or in July, may have led you to make this
decision. Neptune, your ruler, will oppose the Sun, so make very sure you are
ready to take this big step. Do you know your partner well? Have you talked
about all the big topics of a marriage? If you feel you are in love, you will
feel Neptune's influence in terms of love.
Let me give you a bit of insight about Venus and Neptune. Venus may spark
love, but it is Neptune's role to advance love to a higher octave, where you
become mature to the point that you are willing to be selfless and will
generously put your partner's needs and desires before yours. This is considered
the most mature expression of love. In time, Neptune's influence will grow in
you, so if you are young, you may later look back and see how far you have come
in your emotional bonding together.

will be highly productive, just like this month will be for you in all four
weeks, so you have time.

new moon, August 25. You may commit your love forever, or simply move a loving
relationship to the next, closer level. If you are already married, the strong
prominence of Mercury this month suggests that you may be thinking about buying
a house or condo, or doing something significant to the house you have now. If

making a life altering decision about a partnership at the end of August or
early September, make sure you have all the facts, and have looked at the
